# SparkPost redirects to spam domain?

I use SparkPost to handle outgoing email and today I found that the “Visit topic” link, which used to go to [sparkpostmail.com](http://sparkpostmail.com), now goes to [http://post.spmailtechn.com](http://post.spmailtechn.com), and another user reported seeing spam when clicking the link. Any idea what might be going on?
I followed [the link](http://post.spmailtechn.com/f/a/XYnJSntBeEgBXhbq5bQ9Xw ~~/AAB0yAA~/RgRaZfECP0EIASxAprTSqGdXA3NwY1gEAAAAAFkGc2hhcmVkYQdoZWxsb181YA0zNS4xNjMuMTIxLjMzQgoABIK9hFiVEqm-UhVkZGFzY2FsZXNjdUBnbWFpbC5jb20JUQQAAAAAREtodHRwczovL2ZvcnVtLnF1YW50aWZpZWRzZWxmLmNvbS90L3RpbWVsaW5lLWFwcGxpY2F0aW9ucy1mb3Itd2luZG93cy8zMjUyLzJHOXsibWVzc2FnZV9pZCI6InRvcGljLzMyNTIvOTI2M0Bmb3J1bS5xdWFudGlmaWVkc2VsZi5jb20ifQ~~ ) and it does redirect to the complete thread, even without an ad blocker, but still, the domain is dubious.

Got a reply from SparkPost support:
> The tracking links are associated to the IP address in which your messages are sent. We do own both of those domains as well as many others.
While the first sentence doesn’t quite make sense, it does appear they own `spmailtechn.com` - its [whois info](https://who.is/whois/spmailtechn.com) is the same as [that for sparkpost.com](https://who.is/whois/sparkpost.com) - Michael Erdely, [directory of infrastructure at SparkPost](https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelerdely).
Still doesn’t explain the spam report.
