Spoilers aren’t concealed in emails. This text should be hidden in email, but it’s sent in the clear.
Since we can not include js best we could do here is render it as blocks or something.
Or replace them with a link to the post?
I support doing whatever is easiest here.
You could do the
color: black; background-color: black; trick.
Do the new default spoilers based on the details html tag fare better in email?

It worked in OS X Mail for Yosemite 10.10 (the section was collapsed, and expanded when I clicked on it), but doesn’t work in Alpine. I bet it wouldn’t work in Outlook, either, but I don’t have Outlook handy for testing.
IMO, the easiest/best thing to do is to just replace the spoiler with blocks that are simply a link to the forum post.
