# SSL Certificate

Please can someone help me setup an SSL certificate so I can use https?

It may be worth noting that I’m using nginx and I’ve already issued an SSL certificate with certbot.

If you do a [standard install](https://meta.discourse.org/t/142537?silent=true), then you’ll get a certificate. If you have an external nginx, then it’s assumed that you know how to use it. You’ll likely need to check nginx and let’s encrypt docs for help.
