This has now been added as an option in the plugin’s SSO Provider settings. Thanks for the suggestion!

For those using [WP User Avatar](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-avatar/) replace `my_avatar_custom_field` in @simon’s code above with `wp_user_avatar`.
