# SSO Override local username

Hello,  
We’ve been running into this problem where if you change your external name, it will still show your old name on the forums. We’ve tried changing the name, logging out of the forums, then logging back in but that still didn’t work. I was thinking it was the “sso overrides username” but that’s already ticked.. any ideas?

It is “sso overrides name” setting.

You can enable “verbose sso logging” and can check how it works while logins.

You may be sending username, name and other profile fields in wrong format.
