# Staged users getting user\_linked emails

It appears to be possible to prevent these emails being sent by setting _Send me an email when someone quotes me, replies to my post, mentions my @username, or invites me to a topic_ to _never_ on the staged users’ preferences page.

Perhaps Discourse could set this to _never_ for all new staged user accounts? Or at least make this configurable.
