# Starting creating a new private message via link?

Since this feature was already created for creating a new post, I was wondering if it could be replicated for creating a new private message?

Use case: on our rails app, we’re using discourse as the main private-messaging tool. On our user profiles there, we’d like to have a “send message” button that allows you to message that user on discourse.
