Style issue on the top right hamburger menu

(Shiv Kumar) #1

On http://discuss.newrelic.com, when you click on the hamburger menu on the top right (left of profile pic), there’s too many categories to display on smaller screens such as laptops. It doesn’t appear to be scrollable like the other drop-downs such as the category drop-down on the left. Maybe adding scrollability to this would improve usability?

I suppose you have more categories than is healthy for you… :wink:

Anyway: I think the design of the menu never expected that many categories.

Is there a simple fix here @awesomerobot ?

Yep.

    .d-dropdown {max-height: 417px; overflow: auto;}
```
I'll add it to the core styles.
The problem now is that there's no defined height - and 417px aligns it to be as tall as the topic-list category dropdown (ignore the white space, I just artificially added height to show alignment I'm talking about)
We added scrolling, but I think a deeper fix is order later.
