Any suggestions for a good vps provider to host discourse? Any feedback for Liniode vs Digital ocean? Digital Ocean’s $20 plan seems to be good. It has 2GB RAM and 2 cores. Not sure if 2GB RAM is sufficient though? Please advice.

Just wondering, how many go with DO or Linode? استطلاع

Linode, although the kind of person using linode has different support needs than those on DO.

Basically there is no suppprt with linode, so you need to be pretty proficient.

Many of the ones you listed, I don’t view as reputable. Linode in particular has massive red flags from every skilled security person I know, who flat out say “never use Linode, I can’t say why in public, but don’t.”

I’ve been using Vultr for nearly a year, granted it is only a sandbox running Discourse, thus no traffic, no real users, but it gets the job done and hasn’t had any issues what-so-ever (apart from running low on disk space from time to time). To my knowledge, it hasn’t gone down once, not that I wo…
