Support for PWA backed widgets is coming to windows soon:

Discourse could leverage widgets in some features, like:
- List of notifications
- List of assigned topics
- Quick Chat
- Forum stats, like numbers of online users, topics without response, etc.

I dunno about this “Windows” thing, but I would love something that integrates Discourse notifications with GNOME Shell. 🙂
