# Suppress from homepage

Hi. I have a category which I want to suppress from our homepage (including all the subs), but I want all the subcategories to still show on the category page. This used to be working, but perhaps there was a recent change?

I can confirm categories are not being suppressed currently from the homepage (latest) on the following version:  
`Discourse 1.5.0.beta8 - version 1a223b9d10cdfd55898c25f9217a54153a373039`

This is assuming the Discourse instance doesn’t need to be restarted to see the effect.

I can’t update to latest currently - but will do later to see if the problem is still there.

Just updated to latest:  
`Discourse 1.5.0.beta8 - version 1aa68e085e690f7be47a1d08360d3efaf27801db`.

Suppressed category still listed on homepage (latest).

@charleswalter & @DeanMarkTaylor I just tried locally and on [try](http://try.discourse.org) and it works as expected.

Could you please share your other category settings?

Here’s an example…

Homepage: [https://www.helloforos.com/](https://www.helloforos.com/)  
Category: [https://www.helloforos.com/c/disenografico](https://www.helloforos.com/c/disenografico)  
Subcategory: [https://www.helloforos.com/c/disenografico/reinasvirtuales](https://www.helloforos.com/c/disenografico/reinasvirtuales)

The subcategory is set to suppress from the site homepage. But I would expect the topics to still render on the category. What is the expected behavior?
