# Suppress posts from a category in Categories and Latest Topics view

Post categories suppressed from Latest topics still appear in the Categories and Latest Topics view, they don’t respect the “Suppress this Category from the homepage” setting, even when that view is the homepage.
Should the option be renamed? It currently suppresses posts from the Latest view, even when it isn’t the homepage.
Is this intentional? Can it be configured elsewhere?

If this is functioning as intended I would appreciate a heads-up.
If the behavior is expected I may have to hide or remove the offending category all together.
