# Suspend or silence users directly from the review queue

Staff can now suspend or silence a user directly from the review queue, for both “User Needs Approval” and “queued-post” reviewables.

The new **Suspend user** and **Silence user** options use the same modal already available in the “flagged-post” and “review-every-post” queues, keeping the experience consistent across all review screens. The action is logged in the staff log with a link back to the reviewable.

A few additional quality-of-life improvements:

- Any modal options already active on the user are hidden, so you won’t hit a dead-end  
error after resolving the reviewable.
- The reviewable user card now shows any active action (with end date and reason), making it clear at a glance why an option is absent.
