# Switch post to a new topic

Hello there,
a user wrote a new post in an existing topic but it is misplaced there. How can I switch this post to a new topic? I clicked all buttons, but nothing gives me this opportunity.

In the topic, moderator settings press:
select posts → select the post → and split to topic → Choose if it should be its own topic or in an existing one.
