# Syncing Jira Status Back to Discourse?

Hi.

I’m setting up a workflow where Discourse posts automatically create tickets in our internal Jira when a user submits a new topic. I know Discourse supports this functionality.

However, I’m wondering—if we update the status of the Jira ticket (e.g. from _Backlog_ to _DONE_), will that change sync back to the original Discourse post? **And will the user be able to see that update?**
