# Tagged topic progress bar - feasible or not?

I was wondering if it would be feasible for a hybrid with the traditional progress bar ? In normal forums it could be used by mods to highlight key posts in long threads. In my case it would be to highlight key sporting events (so users can jump to relevant discussion)

As they say picture tells more than words, but I would mean something like this mockup:

A navigation timeline very important, but being able to jump to key events a really nice feature.

Before I start messing about and bastardising some code, I thought I would ask the question if I am off to a non-starter ?
