I’d love to be able to specify which categories (public or private), and have no limit on the number of categories

I think there is already no limit. One post is created for each category that you add to the yearly review categories setting.

Yearly Review "Top 5" (or 9 or 12?) categories

The settings for the Yearly review invite you to name the Top 5 categories, for which category-level summaries should be posted. [Selection_1497] However, it seems that the limit isn’t actually 5…? The Meta 2024 post has 13 categories in it. Is 5 maybe the 1st-version delivery and the limit got removed but the wording wasn’t updated?
