# The editor fails to interpret the application/\*\*vnd.api+json\*\* Markdown string

application/ **vnd.api+json**

All the other Markdown editors interpret it correctly:

As CommonMark understands this input, this issue should be solved automatically when Discourse finally moves to it 🙂

Intra-word emphasis has been disallowed for some time now. That is considered intra-word, so nothing to see here…
