# The "replied to user" on top right of post dissappears on editing

as can be seen in the second post, the “replied to user” ( a reply icon besides user fefrei) is visible, but it is not seen in the post above. It was there before i edited it and saved the first post

The “replied to user” is seen in the editor

I think this is by design. There are settings on when the reply indicator is suppressed.

`suppress reply directly below`  
`suppress reply directly above`  
`suppress reply when quoting`

In your example, it is `suppress reply directly above` that is taking effect, with the description of “Don’t show the expandable in-reply-to on a post when there is only a single reply directly above this post.” and this setting is enabled by default.
