These System Templates use for?
Whether these templates are automatically enabled?

cron.template.yml
sshd.template.yml
syslog.template.yml
web.china.template.yml
web.onion.template.yml

NOT NEEDED

For OpenSSH…

For rsyslogd – NOT NEEDED

In China, a lot of things are blocked, so there has to be special care taken to remedy issues that would pop up.

This is for if you host your discourse instance on Tor.

As far as which is enabled by default, you can see here. In most cases, you’ll use this one.

In either case the docs are pretty clear…running: ./launcher bootstrap should create the container template for you.

cron.template.yml
Must need?

(Robby O'Connor) #4

No need. Look at the example configs I linked to you. More often than not you will want standalone.

UPDATE: You don’t need it – it’s there for legacy reasons. I would HIGHLY recommend reading the docs – it’s VERY straight-forward. Read each of those. Rather than looking at them and getting scared, browse through them ;). Same for syslog.yml – it’s included in the base image, as is the case for cron

Thank you! I am a new user. haha

(Robby O'Connor) #6

So? Being new doesn’t mean you can’t read…You asked what each of them is for…look into them…see what they are. Be curious, they don’t bite.

Sometimes ask questions faster than I am looking for documents.
LOL
