Title bug: space before ! gets removed

(Dani Springer) #1

This is the title for a post of mine:
And, or, not Vs &&, ||,!

I tried adding a space between the comma and the !, but as soon as I save it, that space gets removed, and turns this:

And, or, not Vs &&, ||, !

To this:

And, or, not Vs &&, ||,!

Is this a bug? Or any intention behind this?

This sounds like the normal title prettifier in effect. It goes along with enforcing the first letter to be a capital. In normal English, that’s the right thing to do.

Pretty sure you can use a regular no-break-space for this case, and I believe there is a site setting to never apply such fixes to titles.
