# Too many blue dots for new topics

Lately I noticed the following weird behaviour on Android: New topics sometimes have two blue dots and show the number of replies within a blue circle.

Steps to reproduce:

- Add a Discourse site to the home screen (might also work with regular Chrome, but I’m not using that anymore)
- Open the “app” of that site and let it run for a while
- Wait until someone replies to a new topic
- When the blue bar notifies you about new replies, click on it

I’ve seen this every so often on desktop as well, but it goes away on a browser refresh and never bothered me enough to try and get a consistent repro. Just noting as this may not be Android/mobile specific.

Edit: And here’s a screenshot from desktop - definitely not a mobile specific issue.
