# Topic.has\_summary is random, not reliable

All of my topics have summaries. But when I get a topic with `/t/topic_id.json`  
and check the `has_summary` attribute, it’s 50/50. Even if it says `has_summary` = false, I can see the summary by clicking or with `/discourse-ai/summarization/t/topic_id`.
