# Topic Marked as Solution Query

Just a quick query…

I noticed on our hosted solution that if a post is marked as a solution it appends the text to the first post of the topic, which in turn links down to the post marked as a solution, which, in turn, displays that it was the solution.

If I go from the post back “up” (for want of a better phrase) in the hierarchy, I see a _tick_ icon against the topic, but only if the summary view is that of a sub-forum, e.g. it doesn’t seem to appear at the main root forum level.

Is this by design or something which is configurable?
