# Topic timer text not removed when timer fires and topic is open

If a topic is open in a tab (background or foreground) when the timer fires, the timer text is not removed, and the time listed becomes “past” until refreshed. Additionally, the timer action, for example close, does not appear in the topic until refreshed.
