# Issue with not receiving emails

Have you looked at [Troubleshoot email on a new Discourse install](https://meta.discourse.org/t/troubleshoot-email-on-a-new-discourse-install/16326)

The most likely issues are that the port is blocked and that your mail server is not configured for the hostname you’re trying to send from (usually your forum domain)
