# Tracking reason may be wrong when assigned

When topics are assigned to me I see –

But in preferences I have –

![tracking preferences set to never](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/3X/4/5/45cd59bcac12b7c8490f35dd02b43b2de8382678.png)

So in this case the label _should_ be saying “You will see a count of new replies because this topic was assigned to you.”
