Hi, I can’t get seem to get this plugin to work. I’ve followed the instructions, installed it and enabled it, and turned the Sold etc. buttons on for a new “Classifieds” category. However, I can’t see the buttons anywhere when I create a new topic. New topics display with no buttons.
We’re using Discourse 2.2.0.beta9+29. discourse-topic-trade-buttons 3157f19.
Have you tried to restart the app after enabling the plugin and after enabling category buttons?
You mean restart Discourse? No, but I’ll give that a try and report back. Thanks!

How can we add more buttons? Our classified category have a deal section . We want a expired button when a deal is no longer available.
There’s no way to add buttons dynamically. As you can read from plugin descriptions, trading buttons will archive the topic and people can no longer edit or comment. Also prefix (e.g “[SOLD]” or “[CANCELLED]”) is also a good indicator that topic is no longer valid.
I’m curious… who will push that button? What is the nature of “deal section”? What are “deals” exactly?
Example : A store can be selling a product at a reduced price for a limited time so any user can copy the link to the product on our Deals category on our discourse forum . When the deal expire a simple Expired button would archive the topic and add Expired in front of the title .
I’m confused, what does that have to do with a plugin that’s aimed at members trading between themselves?
You’re talking about promoting links and maybe discount codes. Discourse already supports sharing links (title field) and tags could be used to indicate when a post is not longer relevant.

A plugin can have a specific job but that doesn’t mean that’s the only job it can do. Anyway I modified the code,this is what I wanted :

It seems that you just wanted to use a general term … expired is just sold and cancelled put together. In my forum it was kind of important to know if person sold or just cancelled (gives a little bit more information to potential buyers… and more information to moderators, as all trading topics were moved under the archieve category where only market-moderators could still see them). But if modified project fits you needs… you ‘re welcome

Após a atualização para o Discourse 2.4.0.beta8, o plugin Trading Buttons desapareceu. Ele ainda consta no app.yml, mas não há nenhum rastro dele nem na interface do usuário “padrão” do Discourse nem na interface de administração do nosso site. Na verdade, toda a Categoria designada para uso com o plugin também sumiu da interface.
Alguma ideia do motivo e o que pode ser feito para restaurar tanto a categoria quanto o plugin?

Olá! Você já tentou desativar e reativar o plugin (com um reinício no meio)? Você está usando algum outro plugin? Eles também desapareceram?
Você quer dizer reiniciar o container do Discourse ou reconstruir o Discourse?
Temos alguns outros plugins e todos parecem estar funcionando bem.

Eu quis dizer apenas reiniciar o Discourse, não reconstruir. Se não ajudar, eu investigo… mas é uma versão beta 
De qualquer forma… ainda não testei essa versão do Discourse… vou dar uma olhada.

Eu não tenho um container Docker com a versão v2.4.0.beta8… mas mudei minha versão de desenvolvedora para essa beta e tudo funcionou perfeitamente. A categoria de vendas ainda estava presente, assim como os tópicos com botões de negociação. Tem certeza de que não escondeu a categoria sem querer? Talvez você apenas a tenha removido da página principal ou de dentro de outra categoria. Ou talvez a cor do texto seja a mesma do fundo?

Eu honestamente não sei como o plugin ou a categoria poderiam ter desaparecido. Talvez alguém da equipe de desenvolvimento do Discourse tenha ideias? Um problema com o plugin pode esconder toda a categoria?
@Gunnar, você tem algo nos seus logs do Discourse que reclame do discourse-topic-trade-buttons ou algo assim?
