Apro una nuova discussione affinché coloro che parlano spagnolo possano raggiungere un accordo su come denominare o chiamare la funzione di Discourse conosciuta come “BUMP”. ### Cos’è l’Auto-Bump Per chi non è al corrente, è una caratteristica che permette al sistema (l’utente @system di _tutti i forum di Discourse_) di far rivivere - cioè di riportare come attivi, argomenti che sono molto in basso nella lista di attività, argomenti aperti che potrebbero cadere nell’oblio se nessuno li fa riemergere. Se avete bisogno di maggiori informazioni, nel forum ci sono discussioni che spiegano come usarlo. On second thought, my translation is not accurate. “The date of this topic”? A user might ask: What does that refer to? The first post? On the other hand, I don’t think leaving “auto-bump” as is is a good idea either, as it could be just as confusing, if not more so, for certain groups of users (especially those who don’t know English). In other languages: - French: `Remonter automatiquement le sujet` (something like “reassemble”) - German: `Thema automatisch nach oben verschieben` (automatically move the topic to the top) - Finnish: `Nosta ketjua ajastetusti` (raise the thread) - Chinese: `切换主题置顶` (switch topic to pinned/top) In some forums, I’ve seen the translation rendered as _reactivate_. These are the options I’ve found. Can anyone think of any others to discuss? In my case, I think the German option is appropriate because it explains more clearly what the function does, and in Spanish, we don’t have the luxury of having a specific word like _bump_ for this. ---

There are more keys referring to BUMP; I have updated the topic. All of them are in the “ **client** ” section, meaning on Transifex you can access them via: [https://www.transifex.com/discourse/discourse-org/translate/#es\_ES/core-client-yml](https://www.transifex.com/discourse/discourse-org/translate/#es_ES/core-client-yml) For the key `js.topic.auto_bump.title`, I think the best option is to keep “Auto-Bump” as is. In reality, the end user doesn’t see much of the “auto bump” part; they only see when the System revives the topic and they see the description: > BUMPED AUTOMATICALLY xx HOURS AGO > > `(see key: js.action_codes.autobumped)` In my community, I posted an announcement in the meta section explaining what “BUMPED” means so that curious users understand its purpose 👍 However, for the rest of the keys, end users don’t see them… only staff members would read them, and those people **should already know what “bump” means in Discourse**. * * * Question: > [@Apecengo](#): > > automatically move the topic upward When you mention putting that, which key would it be? ---

For my part, I think the terms you mention are very appropriate. Regarding the keys, translating and keeping the term consistent is sufficient. If no one has any objections, we will gradually start changing them.
