Turn of local logins AND allow invites?

I have a Discourse.com hosted instance where I want people to be able to login with Google Auth only AND have the instance be invite only.

That is, I would like to send invites, but all the invited people will have Google Accounts and when they respond to the invite, and later when they login, they will ONLY see the Google Auth option, not the Username and Password fields.

The problem is this:

  • To get rid of the Username/Password fields (which are confusing my users) I have to disable local logins
  • If local logins are disabled, so is the ‘invite users’ feature

Is there a way around this catch-22?

No, this is not possible. Invites would bypass Google login.
