# Unable to access a basic group I created

Hi,
No matter the browser I use, I can’t access a community I made in May. I haven’t accessed it since then. I can see the community on [id.discourse.com](http://id.discourse.com) but I can’t access it by its [xyz.discourse.group](http://xyz.discourse.group) url. Instead I get a connection error that the URL can’t be resolved. I checked my emails and used the link from the initial set up email that I received and it still doesn’t work. So then I tried to re-create it but sure enough the community name is already taken. So I know the site exists, I just can’t get in.
What can I do?

Hey @CarlosC
Your site has most likely been scheduled for decommision due to inactivity, which is a requirement on our free plan. You should have gotten a warning email on the associated email address about this.
Because that hasn’t been completed, we still have records with the same name and that’s why you can’t recreate it.
Let me look if anything can be done.
