# Unable to connect to discourse after installtion

I installed discourse successfully but when try to launch the domain I get an error of unable to connect

What i need to check to fix this issue?

Is it a [standard installation](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/main/docs/INSTALL-cloud.md)?

Did you notice any errors during the installation in the console?

It’s probably DNS. Did you log in to the server and go through their setup?

If you do a [standard install](https://meta.discourse.org/t/142537?silent=true) instead of their one-click installer, `discourse-setup` will attempt to check that you have DNS set up correctly.
