That’s not an accurate summary. You’re seeing it from your perspective, which is that there is essentially no difference between a post being bookmarked and the topic being bookmarked. It’s more like this:
A post or some posts are bookmarked but I cannot tell they exist from the grey bookmark footer icon at the bottom of the topic.
Why would anyone click that grey bookmark icon? Only to bookmark the topic. Not to find post bookmarks anyway. If there is no visual cue then the new “Jump to” links won’t be discovered easily.
But if it were in a middle state (maybe coloured but still outlined) it would make you remember about the post bookmarks. Then the “Jump to” links would be very helpful.
Definitely keep some way to jump to the bookmarked posts, please.
That looks odd because it’s an imperative verb (along with Share, Flag etc) but adding numbers make it look like a noun. Then your mind wonders why it doesn’t say “Bookmarks”.
That way, we can keep it super consistent: every bookmark-post can have its own direct menu. We don’t need to make any change depending on how many bookmarks there are.
This seems like a great mix of all the feedback to me! The icon color change feels similar to how tracking levels work with blue making the higher levels stand out. Really like that the > arrow menu can keep the actions available in a consistent way.
