Unable to Update

(Jay) #1

I have moved my Discourse install from one server and container to another, and now when I go to update the update page will only show the logo and nothing else.
For a split second it would show everything.

I can update it via the command line, just wondering which logs I can check within /var/discourse/shared/standalone/log/ or if this has occurred before (haven’t been able to search anything).

Do you have any unofficial plugins installed?

(Jay) #3

I installed one recently, however the issue was present before (I haven’t tried updating since installing it).
The migration was done with a backup/restore and change of domain.

-Could- this be an issue of Discourse not being able to allocate enough memory (768MB system with large SSD swap – 5< active members).

(Jeff Atwood) #4

Unlikely, out of memory would manifest during the upgrade not on load of the web UI for updating.

(Jay) #5

Additionally /logs is blank.
I’ll wait for the next Discourse update and see if the issue is still present.

(Jay) #6

The same still happens with 1.3.0.beta9

(Jeff Atwood) #7

I am unclear – did you disable the plugins? That needs to be done. Unless it is a plugin we ship, it is suspect for the purposes of troubleshooting your problem.

(Jay) #8

Plugins were disabled yet the issue is still present.

Is there anything I can check?
