# 「Uncategorized」カテゴリが親カテゴリとして表示されない

Continuing the discussion from [Categories not showing up as Parent Category](https://meta.discourse.org/t/categories-not-showing-up-as-parent-category/13787/11): I think have this issue too. The category “[EthosCE Support](https://community.ethosce.com/c/support)” doesn’t appear as a parent category.

Is there any update on the bug fix?

Did you tried by disabling `suppress uncategorized badge` site setting?

Are you saying that you renamed “uncategorized” “EthosCE Support” and are now sad that you cannot use the category formerly known as “uncategorized” as a parent category?

I’m pretty sure that’s what you get for trying to use ‘uncategorized’ for something else.

@vinothkannans Yes, I disabled `suppress uncategorized` and was still not able to make it a parent.

I don’t think that under any conditions you can make `uncategorized` be a parent. If it’s a parent, then it’s not very uncategorized.
