I’d echo @JammyDodger on using [Move your Discourse Instance to a Different Server](https://meta.discourse.org/t/move-your-discourse-instance-to-a-different-server/15721) to update to a recent Debian / Ubuntu droplet.

Otherwise you need to run the super-long `do-release-upgrade` 5 times just to get to latest. Not worth it.
