# Underscores in a URL are being interpreted as Markdown, the link fails to work

There is a Twitter user whose handle has two underscores in it. Those are getting interpreted as Markdown as you can see here.

Another member of our forum already found a work-around. Everything seems to work when you add two backslashes into the URL, but that’s not ideal.
