No, those missing topics I described in my bugreport genuinely have new posts. As I said in my bug report:
“unread” is how I keep up with conversations so this incurs a high risk of me just entirely missing that there is something I should reply to.
I don’t care much about missing out on “topic closed”, but this bug risks me missing out on actual posts.
