# "Unread post" notifications for my own posts

When I’m working in our Discourse instance, I’ll go down the Latest list & open threads of interest in new tabs. I work through them, come back to the Latest list & click on the top-left logo to refresh the list.
For the last several days I’ve been seeing threads where I had just responded marked with “unread post” notifications. Inevitably I was being prompted to come read my own, “unread” posts:
This goes away if I do a browser refresh (Ctrl-R) but I shouldn’t have to, should I?
