# Unsupported chars in group name: æøå

These Danish characters (æøå) seem not to be supported in the group names?

Path:

> (url)/g/custom/new

Update: Seems to be related to creation of a group path equal to groupname like:

> g/Sølv

Could be solved by replacing these characters  
ø == oe  
æ == ae  
å == aa

Please make sure that you enabled the `unicode usernames` site setting.

Okay - its a vanilla installation choosing danish language during the wizard installation.

I havent changed any language settings…

maybe this setting should be default when installing in danish?

That setting solved the issue…

Maybe. It’s off by default because we recommend configuring the `allowed_unicode_username_characters` before enabling `unicode_usernames`.

I did as @gerhard adviced when I installed Discurse, but I can’t remember why I knew that in the first place 😕 Was that something I did found from app.yml?

But both settings must have done.
