# Unwanted characters inside the meta description tags

In meta description tag if the value’s length is greater than the mentioned limit then it is adding “&hellip” at the end.

Example : (Safety concerns regarding COVID-19 and the resulting social distancing restrictions defined service delivery in 2020 and are stretching well into 2021. As we moved through 2020, many charities were able to digitise ser&hellip)

Also is there any way to restrict the number of characters in the meta description as we need to limit the number of characters.
