# Updating mentions when username is changed via SSO

According to @simon in [Update quotes and mentions when username is changed](https://meta.discourse.org/t/update-quotes-and-mentions-when-username-is-changed/39836)
> when a username is changed, quotes and mentions are now automatically updated. Changing a username will not break quotes and mentions.
I’m finding that when a username is changed by SSO, then this doesn’t happen. Which would seem to be a bug.

This PR fixes the problem. After changing username by SSO mentions and quotes will be updated automatically:
