# Upgrading Mathjax to version 4

I think it’s worth pointing out that this upgrade will be significantly more than an upgrade of MathJax. It will also

- Relax parsing in a way that will work better with LLMs, as [requested here](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-math/65770/217) and
- Fix issues with the new rich editor, as [reported here](https://meta.discourse.org/t/math-mode-hard-to-use-with-rich-text-editor/378089).
