# User filter "hide my mail" popup

Group setting user filter shows the “hide my mail” popup on MacOS.

Hmm yes it seems they’re picking up on the “username or email” placeholder… if I remove the placeholder, the popup no longer appears

This is frustrating because we do indicate `autocomplete="off"` here and they’re choosing to ignore it… and their filter isn’t very intelligent

Even just “username” triggers a different autocomplete

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like we can do much to prevent this aside from not using the words “email” or “username,” Apple provides websites no control.
