# User Linked Email Function?

I have a user that received an auto generated email from our forum and I have no idea why, nor does the user whose post reply apparently triggered it. The Email Type was user\_linked and I have ten total emails that are are of this type. What is this email and why is it triggered/sent?

The “`user_linked`” event is generated when someone add a link to one of your post/topic.
