# User Profile Background limit animated images

There is a setting to stop animated avatars. Can we get a setting to stop this for the User Profile Background images?

Why would you want to? They’re awesome! Check out mine

(But seriously, since they only appear on demand and on a user’s personal space we view this as OK. Versus having your avatar be animated on all topics..)

Well the consistency would be part of it. I am less inclined now that I have calmed down after finding this set as one.

So I guess I will stick with the consistency argument but not that strongly. Done well they are nice. Some people have a hard time doing nice.

Don’t be afraid of heavy-handed moderation. Some people really do need a 24-hour timeout to get a message through their thick skull.
