# Users not getting badges

Hi,

We noticed that some of the very basic badges, like **First Emoji** , **First post editor** , **First link** and **First flag** haven’t been awarded, even though they’re enabled.  
What could be the issue?

How long did they wait? The scripts that grants badges only runs every so often. For these it’s 5 min iirc

Are the posts in a public category?
