# Users should not be able to remove themselves from "Official Warning" PM

I have something I’d like to add to this.
I recently sent a Moderator Warning PM to a user, who immediately went in and removed himself from the message. 🙄
For warnings, shouldn’t this feature be turned off?

I moved your reply to a separate topic. I agree users shouldn’t be able to remove themselves from an Official Warning PM, that pretty much defeats the purpose.
(That said, you do know they saw it 😛)

Sorry, I was saying I agree with you that users shouldn’t be able to remove themselves, not that they currently are unable to. Edited my above post.

Right but does it matter? They clearly saw it, staff can add them back in any time if they need to, etc?

In this case, yes, it mattered, I needed to know if he was doing something purposefully or if he really didn’t understand what he was doing wrong.
Turns out that even though I’d warned him several times, he hadn’t bothered to try to understand. Spent over an hour trying to teach him to use the “Edit” button. Still doesn’t understand.

오래된 주제를 다시 꺼내는 것이라 죄송합니다. 이 문제를 조사하던 중이었습니다. 경고받은 사용자가 경고 PM(개인 메시지)에서 자신을 삭제하는 경우, 이는 사용자가 경고를 확인했다는 것을 의미한다고 동의합니다. 사용자가 경고 PM에서 자신을 삭제하는 것을 기술적으로 방지하는 것이 가능할 수 있지만, 이 문제가 매우 자주 발생하는 것은 아니므로 이를 구현하는 것은 우선순위가 높지 않을 것입니다.
다만, 사용자가 경고를 삭제할 때 경미한 UI 문제가 있습니다. 경고 카운트는 여전히 스태프가 사용자의 프로필 페이지에서 볼 수 있지만, 경고 링크를 클릭하면 `/u//messages/warnings`로 이동하며 "메시지가 없습니다"라는 텍스트가 표시됩니다:
경고 PM은 여전히 존재하지만 더 이상 사용자의 `warnings` 수신함에 있지 않습니다. `UserWarning` 레코드도 여전히 데이터베이스에 존재합니다. 해당 엔트리는 경고받은 사용자의 `user_id`와 경고 PM의 `topic_id`를 포함하고 있습니다. `/u//messages/warnings`로 링크하는 대신, 이러한 레코드를 사용하여 사용자에게 이전에 전송된 경고로 링크하는 것이 가능해 보입니다.
