Using a root / apex domain with discourse [solved]

Hello,

Is it possible to use a full domain as the URL instead of a subdomain? For example, instead of chat.example.com, just example.com ? Also, if I’ve already set the subdomain, am I able to change it to point to the new domain that I just purchased?

Thank you.

Edit: Solution found here: Configure your hosted domain name at the root (example.com)

Ok, so I just created a new one, and will cancel/delete the other one.
What should the CNAME record look like? Right now it is
host: www
value: example.hosted-by-discourse.com

Edit: I just found this: Configure your hosted domain name at the root (example.com). Doesn’t look good

Yes, that’s called a root or apex domain, and it requires special DNS support per that topic.
