Using an existing Laravel Users DB

Hello,

I was wondering if I am able to use an existing Laravel Users DB with discourse.

Thanks!

I very strongly doubt it. Discourse uses a PostgreSQL.

Well, technically you can if you can implement SSO.

I don’t know what is meant by a “Laravel Users DB”

I have not used Laravel, but AFAIK it’s a PHP framework.

It has its own database ??

From the docs

https://laravel.com/docs/5.0/database

Currently Laravel supports four database systems: MySQL, Postgres, SQLite, and SQL Server.

I also don’t know what the desired “use with” is.

If it is using Laravel to write PHP to work with the Discourse Postgres database, (as in “I don’t know Ruby / Ember” and want to use PHP") I guess it could be possible.

If it means “use Laravel to run Discourse” I guess that too could be possible given the time ambition and resources to replicate the Core code into PHP
